I am an East Coast expatriate hiding out in the Midwest...

I am an urban gal living in the suburbs and occasionally hiding in the country

I am a yoga practitioner, fitness enthusiast, believer in the mind-body-spirit connection...

I am a mid-life "revert" to the Roman Catholic faith in which I was raised and which has become an enormous source of support, encouragement, inspiration, and joy in my life...

I am a mom, sister, daughter, and wife...

I am an explorer; adventurous and curious about the world and people around me...

I am educated in the formal sense but I gain insight through everyday living...

I created this blog at a time of great fear and apprehension in my life. I chose to sustain it because of the discoveries about myself and the world around me that it has revealed.

What you can expect to find here:
  • the documentation of a love-hate relationship with the greater Philadelphia area
  • reminiscing about the good-ole-days (the 80's!)
  • complaints about my various ailments and injuries, both real and imagined
  • pictures and stories of gardening, decorating, shopping, sewing
  • my love of irony
  • links to kooky news stories
  • way too much scatological musing for sane people

My Pirate - wins the pennant!

I am glad I remarked that Damon was in a "slump" of sorts because, of course, tonight he was a Demon!!!!!  1 grand slam and then later, a 2-run homer...wowsa!

    Plus, some kickin' fielding.

And, as I remarked in my last post, he has this sweet, gentle voice, and gentlemanly demeanor.  During the post-game interviews with him, I just kept fantasizing about him on a white sandy beach in a loose, flowing shirt....oh man...what a "romantic" figure he surely makes.

And for you ladies lookin' for some cute white boy action in the Sox, I think Derek Lowe might be your ticket. Agan, with the long hair. Mmmmmmmmmm. Delish!

Gosh, last week I was all sad and menopausal and this week I am all "shook up" for these Boston guys! ;)

But my question is this: no matter what team I am watching - WHAT'S WITH ALL THE SPITTING, GUYS? EEEEEEWWWWWW!

spitting : more camera friendly than crotch grabbing but still macho.

Arrrgh! Johnny Damon! I was just doing a google search for him & pirate to see if anyone else thought he looked like a pirate. My boyfriend and I love to narrate games with him talking like a pirate - I just saw Johnny speak for himself last night and notified my boyfriend that I think I've got a new crush (to add to Steve Finley, now of the Dodgers). What a sweet guy - and so articulate!! He's won two more fans for life - what a great game!!! Breaking the curse and taking the Evil Empire DOWN!!

It's all that testosterone- leaves a funny taste in your mouth. Haaaaack ptui. Still, it is better than doing what rhinos do to mark their territory...
