In a mere six weeks I have gone from a 38B to a 40D or DD depending on brand!!!! My husband LOVES it. I do not. Why not? Well, for one thing, I now have to buy all new bras, which is a hassle. I am not only picky about fit and comfort, I am also a cheapskate (no Wacoal in my future). So I will literally squeeze into ill-fitting undergarments until I find the *right* bra or bras that suit my frugal-yet-finicky criteria. Then, all of my treasured cashmere turtleneck sweaters, while they still fit, look matronly and dumpy now that I am so hefty in the bust. I have noticed that lower-cut (ballet neck, cowl neck, boatneck, v-neck, etc.) necklines are more flattering with the bigger hooters and puffier face. And yet, I dont want to be flashing cleavage all over the suburbs, so I will likely have to invest in some larger-size underwire camisoles, as well. I dont want to invest TOO much; tomorrow (Monday) I have another procedure to check out my plumbing situation (ie - more invasive gyne testing) because I am still having symptoms similar to those I had when the ovarian tumor(s) was(were) larger. If further workup needs to happen and/or the good Doctor takes me off the hormones, its bye-bye big boobies, hello deflated sandbags. |
| AbbyNormal November 11, 2008 03:07 PM PST The pregnancy and breast-feeding boobs were nice for a while. Yeah, the husband liked them, but I don't really miss 'em. It'd be nice if we could just have "occassional" boobs, like those occassional contact lenses. | ||
| Michelle November 10, 2008 05:04 PM PST p.s. I was in chicago today - I thought of calling you but then again I was only there at the airport for 45 minutes on my flight stop over to San Jose......maybe next time I can plan THAT better! Are you anywhere near Chicago? Sorry I know I have adked that before. | ||
| Michelle November 10, 2008 05:03 PM PST Ha Ha when I ready beej's comment and then yours I thought you both said "they are CUCUMBERS at best" I was dying laughing trying to envision that! Get a good bra!!! Invest even if it is just in ONE! Otherwise you will be a flip flopping out of those new low-cut tops! | ||
| brandy101 November 10, 2008 09:25 AM PST cumbersome is the perfect term to describe them; its like they have to be MANAGED over a certain size. I have to do a bit of bra shopping today; at least if I get two for *going out* I can wear comfy *leisure bras* (no wires and not much support but not free-falling) for around the house | ||
| beej November 10, 2008 09:11 AM PST I just LOVE it when we talk underwear! Do you remember the Victoria Secret underwear rash thingy I was talking about a few weeks ago? I found out it's a EPIDEMIC!!! I wasn't crazy after all! Also, I do NOT love big boobs. Pregancy and the aftermath did that to me. They are cumbersome at BEST. Luckily, I don't have this problem (at all). :-) | ||
